Young Kāpiti Basketballers hit the Hoops

Hoop Club Kāpiti Players were well Represented at the recent NZ Maori National Basketball Tournament.
Between the 23rd and the 26th of January 2019 Basketball Players from around New Zealand gathered at the Rotorua Energy Events Centre to compete in the National Maori Basketball Tournament.
Hoop Club Kāpiti’s Director of Coaching Angelo Robinson says the club would like to recognise all its members that attended the event representing Ngati Raukawa ki te Tonga and congratulate Kaylis Peneha whose team placed first in the Under 11 Tama as well as Ameia Willams and Reikura Takao whose team placed first in the Under 9 Kotiro.
“How great it is to see the growth of Basketball on the Kāpiti Coast and how proud I am to see our Hoop Club Kāpiti players representing and succeeding at a National level,” says Mr Robinson.
