Kāpiti Food Fair fully booked

Less than a month out from the Kāpiti Food Fair and vendor registrations have closed at 119 sites.
“We are super happy about this as it shows vendor confidence in running a food and beverage event in Kāpiti,” says Helene Judge, Fair Spokesperson.
Ms Judge adds, “we seriously have the united nations of ready to eat foods represented for visitors to try. We have asked vendors to be thoughtful about their portion price as we want to achieve a win/win for commercial vendors and a taste sensation for visitors.” The site map is now under construction in preparation for the big day.

“Sometime ago we bought a Ken Ring weather prediction report. He’s the guy that predicts weather by the cycles of the moon and he says we will have a fine day with clear skies and north west winds so we are really hoping he is correct,” says Ms Judge.
The Celebrity Kitchen is also heating up in preparation to host Karena and Kasey Bird, our Celebrity Chefs, says Jeanine van Kradenburg of PartyPerfect Catering. Their show will run inside the Pavilion at Mazengarb Reserve between 11am and 1pm. From there they will go on a hosted walkabout of the Fair with Mayor Church and ANZ Paraparaumu as principal sponsor. Their cooking demo will be themed around a Christmas lunch for a Kiwi family and will include products from sponsors, including BCE Catering Equipment, Kāpiti Kitchen, Soprano Limoncello and Tendertips Asparagus. “I have no doubt that the girls will put on a delicious, inspiring and really fun show,” says Jeanine.

The Fair will take place on Saturday 6th December 2014, 10am to 3pm at the Mazengarb Reserve.
