This coming weekend sees the biggest ever Kāpiti Arts Trail with a vast array of art and artist on display the length of the Kāpiti Coast.
Look out for the colourful Kāpiti Arts Trail flag outside each venue.
Artworks are for sale at all locations. Everyone accepts cash and most accept cheques with ID. EFTPOS is also available at some Art & Artisan hubs, galleries and cafs. In addition, Whitireia Campus offers a ‘cash-out’ facility.
Kāpiti Cr Jackie Elliott, Chair of the Public Art Panel says she is looking forward to the Arts Trail weekend. “This iconic event is a highlight of the year in the local arts scene. Artists have the opportunity to showcase their latest work, make direct sales and generate income through commissioned works. I am proud of the massive effort by KCDC staff to promote this very professional event in Kāpiti. Personally I am looking forward to my first visit to the Ōtaki Gorge Sculpture Park,” says Cr Elliott.
