Movie lovers around the country can visit their local participating cinema and swap a can for a movie ticket to see a blockbuster film at next week’s Wattie’s Cans Film Festival.
The Festival, which this year celebrates its 20th anniversary, helps New Zealanders in need over the busy Christmas period by collecting cans for The Salvation Army Food Bank. Wattie’s then matches each can donated to ensure those in need don’t miss out on the help they require. This year’s Festival is on Wednesday 13th November at cinemas throughout New Zealand.
There’s a great line-up of popular new releases on offer this year including Turbo, Despicable Me 2, Planes, Smurfs 2 and One Direction: This Is Us.
Moviegoers need to get in early, as tickets often sell out in advance.
