Don Moselen soldiers on for district-wide Council seat

“I have agreed to stand for Council following representations from residents and representatives of community organisations.
I have served on the Ōtaki Community Board for six years the last three as Deputy Chair during which time I have represented the Board on Council’s Economic & Development Committee.
Furthermore I have attended most meetings of Council and other committees of Council giving me firsthand knowledge of how the Council has operated particularly in the last triennium; moreover I have gained a greater understanding of the problems that residents bring before Council.
I have a 35 year association with the district, am in my tenth term as President and Welfare Officer of the Ōtaki RSA, also serving Waikane;
I am a Kāpiti Grey Power Committee member, have a long association with the iwi of Raukawa through a 20 year administrative role with the Ngati Kapumanawawhiti hapu,
My serving on various other Kāpiti community and sporting organisations gives me a good knowledge of Kāpiti’s needs. As a councillor I promise to work to keep rates affordable, to work as a united team to achieve the best outcomes for Kāpiti including encouraging long term investment to develop local employment opportunities.
