Thirty-five Kāpiti community groups, organisations and initiatives have been named finalists in the 2026 Wellington Airport Regional Community Awards.
The awards recognise the work of not-for-profit groups and the people contributing to communities across the wider Wellington region.
Kāpiti winners and runners-up will be announced at an awards function in early August. Local category winners will then progress to the regional awards, where they will have the opportunity to be named an overall category winner or Supreme Winner.

Award categories cover art and culture, education and child or youth development, health and wellbeing, heritage and environment, and sport and leisure. A Rising Star Award also recognises emerging groups.
