ThinkTech Kāpiti is the district’s flagship tech and innovation event – bringing together founders, business leaders, professionals, supporters and future talent for a day of ideas, insight and connection.
Wednesday 20 May, 9:00am – 2:30pm – Te Raukura ki Kāpiti, Coastlands Theatre, Paraparaumu
Want to see how technology is being used in real businesses and what it could look like for yours?
Across the week, the programme includes ThinkTech Kāpiti, the district’s tech conference featuring a mix of local and national speakers alongside practical workshops. There is also a hands-on session focused on applying AI and digital tools in real business contexts, along with Maker Space workshops at Paraparaumu Library exploring coding and digital tools for both adults and young people.
The focus isn’t just future thinking. It’s about what’s already happening, and how it can be used in day-to-day business.
We’re seeing more businesses across Kāpiti start to engage with digital tools and new ways of working. This isn’t about large-scale change. It’s about practical improvements, saving time, improving systems, and working more efficiently.
Through events like Techweek, workshops and ongoing activity, KāpitiTech is helping build a more connected and practical tech community, one that reflects how technology is actually being used by businesses on the Coast.
You’ll hear from people shaping industries in real time – across AI, infrastructure, game development, agritech, aerospace and global markets – alongside the next generation of tech founders. Together, we’ll dive into how we can better support and grow this talent, and what these shifts mean for businesses and districts like ours.

Registration commences at 8:30am.
Morning tea & lunch included in ticket.
