Police say the person involved with the mystery kayak off Raumati coast yesterday has been identified.
The person had set off a significant search and rescue effort that involved helicopter sweeps of the area and Search and Rescue teams scouring the coast.
Midday Sunday the Police had located the person and report that are safe and well on dry land.
Police say they are grateful to all those who helped with information and to the searchers for their efforts.
