During World War II while Bristol suffered terrible bombings, 18,000 children were separated from their families. Despite the efforts of authorities, more than half of those children escaped to make their own way home.

Ken – then aged 7, and his brother aged 9, were 2 of those children…. and they ran away, no fewer than 4 times…. to find their Mother and Gran. In this new series, Ken Blackburn narrates this true story from his book, Blitz Kids.
