Jeff Simmonds reads A Rope for Harry Fat

Kāpiti singer songwriter, musician, filmmaker Jeff Simmonds reads a classic Kiwi poem, in this NZ Poetry Month.

“Here’s a post for National Poetry Day. This is a James K Baxter poem I learned 40 years ago in the 6th form for Father O’Connell’s English class.

“It is about Edward Thomas Te Whiu, who was one of the last people to be hanged in NZ, back in 1955.”
