Ōtaki Golf Club Championships

Kāpiti Sport: Former Ōtaki Golf Club champion Aaron Moy takes on his son Riley in the 2020 final.

This Sunday (August 23) is the Ōtaki Golf Club’s Championship day, and believed to be the first time in 119 years that father and son are playing for the Senior championship.
Aaron Moy will take on his 13 year old son, Riley, in the 36 hole final. Both played interclub this year, Aaron had 8 wins, Riley had 10 out of 10 wins (the last match for the top team in Division 2).
Aaron is currently on 2.6, and Riley is on 6.8.
The women’s Silver championship is between Fiona McBride and Karen Musson. There is only 0.7 between their handicaps, so a close game is expected.
The men’s intermediate championship is between Alan Brighouse and James Terry.
Men’s Junior A is between Martin McMyler and Bob Symonds
Men’s Junior B is between Wayne Inglis and John Morrison
Women’s Bronze 1 is between Gill McConway and Jude Parke
Women’s Bronze 2 is between Charmaine Fluker and Trish Morrison

We hope there will be a good turn out of spectators.
