Are you missing out on one of the Kāpiti Coast’s little gems? Have you been to the Kāpiti Coast Museum on Elizabeth Street, Waikanae? If your answers are yes and no then put it right any weekend.
This small museum has attracted the interest of many local and international visitors. Trip Advisor posters call it ‘The Little Museum that could’, ‘Local history in local history” (the Museum was once Waikanae’s Post Office built in 1907),’ the fabulous 1930s kitchen display’, ‘brilliant’ and ‘ a true trip down memory lane’.

The museum is open Fridays-Sundays 1-4pm. but will open any time for guided tours.

So don’t miss out. Spend a winter’s afternoon in this cosy fascinating piece of local history.
