Kāpiti Students Make Voices Heard on Climate Change

Hundreds of Kāpiti Coast students joined their counterparts from around the country in a strike to highlight the imminent dangers of Climate Change.
OraTaiao: The New Zealand Climate and Health Council issued a letter to all Students regarding the day of protest.
“Dr Alex Macmillan, Co-convenor of OraTaiao says “as health professionals we know that climate change is already affecting the wellbeing of children and young people,” says
“For as long as adults in leadership and government fail to act adequately to prevent the worst impacts of climate change, we will support school students to strike in protection of their futures.
“Climate change is the biggest threat to the wellbeing of our rangatahi- that’s why we support their day of climate action,” says
Dr Macmillan.
