The Kāpiti Chamber of Commerce Women in Business and Kāpiti Rotary are inviting Members and Non Members to their International Women’s Day celebration on March 8 at Southward Car Museum Theatre.
Chamber chair Heather Hutchings says $5 from each ticket sale will be donated to the Kāpiti Women’s Centre with the intention of donating $1,000 to a valuable feminist organisation which promotes the physical, mental and spiritual well-being of women on the Kāpiti Coast.
Ms Hutchings says while respecting the overarching theme of International Women’s Day, the keynote speaker, Amanda Santos, will share aspects of her personal journey and observations over a 30 minute timeframe with MC, Sarah Topliff, who will facilitate lunch proceedings and questions from the floor within a 45-minute timeframe.
Ms Santos was a finalist in the 2017 Wellingtonian of the Year awards.
