Police have advised that emergency services are attending a collision between two vehicles on State Highway 1 north of Manakau, Horowhenua District.
It happened about 5:30pm tonight on the state highway near Kuku East Road.
Initial indications are that there are serious injuries.
The Serious Crash Unit has been advised.
Traffic is moving slowly, however, motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible, and have patience.
