Two young men in Serious Crash in Paraparaumu – UPDATE 12.42

UPDATE 12.45pm

Update on crash Realm Drive, Kāpiti.

Police are still at the scene of a motor vehicle crash on Realm Drive, Kāpiti which occurred at 7.52 this morning between Meadow Court and Joan Wallace Drive Paraparaumu.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The vehicle is shortly to be removed from the scene and the road is expected to be open some time after 12.30pm today.
The occupants of the vehicle involved were flown to Wellington Hospital around 8.30am.
One man, the driver, aged 20 is in a critical condition and another man aged 22 is in a serious condition.
The Serious Crash Unit are still investigating and no further information is available at this time.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter service were in attendance and the two people in one car are injured and are being taken to Wellington Hospital.Both patients had to be cut from the wreckage. A cordon has been put up around the crash site. There are unconfirmed reports of power outages in the area.

One person is in a critical condition, while a second is in serious condition, after a single-car crash in Paraparaumu.
Emergency services are at the scene, with two helicopters being sent to transport the injured to hospital.

The crash happened on Realm Drive about 8.30am.

The road is closed off to traffic and it has caused some to lose power to their homes.

There is a second white Helicopter (Palmy Hospital) in attendance.
The incident occurred when the car crashed into a tree in Realm Drive.
