Kāpiti Playgrounds to get Upgrades

Kāpiti Coast District Council undertakes a regular renewal programme for playgrounds. The link below gives you some information on upcoming playground renewals and how you can have your say.

Council says they are giving some of their playgrounds a new lease of life and we want to hear your ideas.

“We aim to create playgrounds that are accessible, fun, varied and cater for a wide range of abilities. Our goal is to design interesting playgrounds that meet the needs of both children and their caregivers.”

The following playgrounds either have an upgrade in progress or planned for the next financial year.

This year’s upgrades (2015-2016) – currently in progress

Elizabeth Rose Reserve, Paraparaumu
Dixie Street Reserve, Ōtaki


Next year’s upgrades (2016-2017)

Kaitawa Reserve, Paraparaumu
Aorangi Road Reserve, Paraparaumu
Haruatai Park, Ōtaki
Tasman Road Reserve, Ōtaki
Te Ātiawa Park, Paraparaumu Beach
