I have been an elected member of the Ōtaki Community Board since February 2011 by-election. During this time I have had valuable insight into Council policies and procedures. I would love the opportunity to serve the people of Ōtaki for another term on the Community Board.
During my time I have worked with Civil Defence to implement a
Community Response Plan so that in the event of a major disaster our
town will be well looked after.
The Local Government re-organisation is of interest to me and I have
been involved in meetings to ensure Ōtaki will still have a voice.
I am an active Rotarian and a volunteer for the Cancer Society.
I have a strong interest and am personally affected by the Expressway
and the affects the long term district plan has on our farming
community.
