We have lived at Waikanae Beach for the last 15 years.
Our children attend a local primary school. Through our interests and our children’s activities, I meet a wide cross section of the population.
In spending the last three terms on the Waikanae Community Board I have played an important role in making Waikanae the community it is, and would like to continue doing so. I have a scientific and regulatory background so I understand the way local governance works.
My personal interests are in environmental sustainability and financial accountability. A key role of being a board member is making the best decisions on issues that affect our diverse community. This community will have huge infrastructural changes over the next few years and will need the support of the community board.
As a board member I am the chairperson of the group that is restoring the old Waikanae Treatment Ponds.
