Kāpiti Chamber – from the Chair

New this year for the Electra Business Awards is a ‘customer choice’ category where you can get your customers to vote for you online and perhaps even win an award. It’s easy to enter and quite separate from the main excellence awards. If you value your customer service and want to show it, check out the article in this newsletter and have a think about entering but don’t delay, entries close midnight on Thursday! All entrants will be publicised in the Kāpiti Observer and on Beach FM.

There’s quite a number of articles in this newsletter keeping us up to date with what is going on in the District. From the anniversary of the Electra Trust to a book launch at the Mediterranean Food Warehouse, to the arrival of the Whitireia Foundation and the Nikau Kāpiti Trust. If you have something of interest to the 850 mainly business people who get this newsletter, make sure you send it through to the Editor. A nominal charge may apply to help cover our costs in bringing this newsletter to you.

Thank you to those who attended the Chamber lunch with guests Jim & Joan Bolger. It was great to be able to welcome them to the District, and to be plugged into a bigger world with an excellent address by the ‘great helmsman’.

Look forward to seeing you at the BA5 on 31 July (details below) hosted by Arbmed (Roger Pitchforth) for some business networking and community building.
