Nigel Wilson

Profile for Greater Wellington Regional Council

Three years ago I stood as an advocate for Kāpiti. You elected me and I have delivered.

That experience puts me in a strong position to continue.

We must complete the railway stations at Paraparaumu and Waikanae and finish the double tracking.

It’s vital to have double tracking through to Ōtaki. It’s also crucial to have a railway station at Raumati.

I’m a regular attendee at community boards in Ōtaki, Waikanae, Paraparaumu/Raumati and Paekākāariki where direct feedback guarantees community concerns are brought to the regional table.

We don’t always get it right and we don’t always get what we want but Kāpiti has had the best of it in the last three years from a regional perspective.

We’ve had many gains and now need to build on those for the future. I ask you to re-elect Wilson for Regional Council. I appreciate your support.

Profile for CAPITAL and COAST DISTRICT HEALTH BOARD

An effective health system must meet the realistic expectations of the community it serves.

I am determined CCDHB will be respected for its high quality, readily accessible, financially sustainable services.

We have highly skilled, dedicated health professionals willing to provide those services.

It is imperative Government funds a health service the community can have faith in.

CCDHB must collaborate with other agencies to improve housing, transport and social services in our neighbourhoods.

I want CCDHB to reflect your needs. It must have up-to-date, safe, responsive, affordable care.

I am a strong advocate, with governance experience and am a Greater Wellington Regional Councillor.

Medical expertise outruns state funding. Our services have slipped behind health services in Australia.

Our DHB must ensure we are funded to provide a system that is fair and matches public expectations.

This can, and will, be achieved. I am very grateful for your support.
