Trevor Daniell – experience counts

Trevor Daniell has been a Kāpiti Coast resident for 29 years.
After a career in the public service he had spent 10 years involvement as President of Kāpiti Grey Power.
Mr Daniell has also been involved in numerous roles with many other community organisations, including Safer Community Trust, Kāpiti Carers, Age Concern, and the Elders’ Council.

“Through regular attendance in recent years at Council meetings and workshops, representing our Grey Power community, I have a clear understanding of the structures and processes of Kāpiti Coast District Council. I won’t need a steep learning curve,” said Mr Daniell.

Mr Daniell says Kāpiti Coast is made up of four distinct and geographically distinct communities, and the Community Boards provide their link with Council.
“Paraparaumu and Raumati will be critically affected by planned developments water supply improvements, aquatic centre, town centre, and especially the Expressway. The review of the District Plan will be a key activity in this council term I am committed to assisting the Board represent the views of ratepayers.
“I will also encourage community support for key initiatives, such as the Health Group Trust and Kāpiti Youth Services, and all those other voluntary unfunded activities which make Kāpiti the great place that it is.
