The Story Book Bus is on the road again!

6 May 2010

On Tuesday, May 11th Sue Henderson from NZ Post will drive Councillor Sandra Patton and Librarians Angie Salmon, Maisie Willoughby and Michelle Vestal around Waikanae, visiting Waikanae School, Waikanae Kindergarten and Castle Kids.
Dressed as animals, the readers will share their favourite stories from the finalists in this year’s NZ Post Children’s Book Awards.
Story teller, Ann Hunt will also be entertaining school classes over the week at the three Kāpiti Coast District Libraries with readings from some of the finalist books and the telling of a New Zealand story or two.
New Zealand authors have written a wonderful range of children’s books and the NZ Post Children’s Book Awards Week is a way to celebrate the richness of children’s literature in this country.
