A man has been found dead at a property in the Palmerston North suburb of Highbury on today.
Emergency services were called to Wilson Crescent around 11:30am today.
Police said a person was found unresponsive and was confirmed deceased after an ambulance was notified and first aid applied.
Enquiries were underway to determine the circumstances surrounding his death, police said.
A scene examination was completed and cordons on Wilson Crescent had since been stood down.
A tow truck had taken away a white car, while a hearse arrived at the scene about 2pm.
Police said it would continue to maintain a visible presence in the area in the coming days.
Police said there was no risk to the public following this incident.
