Visit Kāpiti has announced the winners for the 2026 Hot Chocolate competition.

The Kāpiti Hot Chocolate Competition is an annual two-week celebration of flavour, creativity and community — where local cafés put their own twist on the classic hot chocolate.
The public were invited to Grab a Hot Choc Passport, collect stamps as you go, vote for your favourite creation, and be in to win amazing prizes. From rich, velvety classics to bold new blends (and even a few spirited options for the grown-ups), there’s something for everyone to discover.
This year’s trail featured over 20 participating cafés and venues.
