Insulation Tech NZ is carrying out insulation and Healthy Homes work across the Kāpiti Coast as part of its wider service throughout the lower North Island.
The family-run business is owned by the Patterson family and is based in Levin, servicing Wellington, Kāpiti, Horowhenua, Whanganui and surrounding areas. Its work includes installing ceiling, underfloor, wall and ground moisture barrier insulation in both owner-occupied homes and rental properties.
Across Kāpiti, the company works with homeowners and landlords to assess insulation needs and carry out installation work required to meet current standards. It also provides Healthy Homes assessments for rental properties under the Residential Tenancies Act.
Insulation Tech NZ is a registered insulation service provider with the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority. This registration allows eligible homeowners to apply for support through the Government’s Warmer Kiwi Homes programme, which can subsidise insulation installation depending on eligibility, housing type and location.
Company information shows eligibility for insulation grants was expanded in 2025, meaning more homeowners may now qualify for assistance, including those who were previously ineligible. The programme applies to owner-occupied homes built before 2008 and may also cover related access work required for insulation installation in some cases.
The business is qualified to Unit Standard NZS4246 and provides services for homeowners, landlords and new builds. Its work includes assessments, installation and compliance reporting where required.
Customer feedback highlights service delivery and outcomes, with reviews describing “great communication and prompt, no fuss service” and installation teams that were “fast, efficient and very nice to deal with.” Other customers reported noticing the difference insulation made almost immediately after installation.
Insulation installation and Healthy Homes assessments form part of the work homeowners and landlords on the Kāpiti Coast undertake to meet current housing standards.
