Approximately 1650 homes were affected tonight by a major power outage in Paraparaumu.
A fault in Domain transformer appears to be outcome of a car crash. The advice was to turn off everything at the wall socket until the power is back on to avoid major power surges and damage to appliances.
Electra were on the scene to restore the power.
