The New Things and Interlopers Live

The New Things will feature with The Interlopers at Paekakariki

The New Things will play St Peter’s Hall fully kitted-out as a raucous fourpiece band! They are Tina McIvor, Jason Tamihana-Bryce, Dave Morgan and Scott Viner. Earlier this year, they shot to number 1 on Bfm with their song Vintage Nerd. RNZ music reviewer, Grant Smithies, called the The New Things “ace rickety guitar pop like The Raincoats” with an “endearing spindliness”.

Interlopers are a unique combo of acoustic guitar, bass and cello with a penchant for time-honoured melodic hooks and lyrical wit and wisdom. Informed by indie, post-punk, synth and alt-country traditions, this trio of seasoned Gen-Xers reckon it’s never too late to seize their 15 minutes of fame. They are Sarah Laing, Andrew Armitage and Phil Peleton.

KT Julian and Maria McMillan will open the show with engaging poetry to warm your hearts and heat your seats! Be there at 7pm sharp.
