A two-week COVID-19 Resurgence Wage Subsidy payment will be available nationally for employers, including self-employed people, who are financially impacted by the resurgence of COVID-19 and changes to COVID Alert Levels.
Here’s what you need to know:
- You must have had or expect to have a revenue drop of at least 40% for a 14 day period, between 12 August to 10 September 2020, compared to a similar period past year. The decline must also be related to COVID-19.
- You must be an eligible employer and you must name the employee for who you are applying for the subsidy.
- The subsidy is for 2-weeks from the day you submit your application, $585.80 for people working 20 hours or more per week and $350.00 for people working less than 20 hours per week.
- Businesses will be able to apply for this new round of subsidy from Friday 21 August 2020 until Thursday 03 September 2020.More information can be found at: https://www.workandincome.govt.nz/covid-19/resurgence-wage-subsidy/index.html#null
