Marcus Portrait Highly Recommended

‘Marcus’ by Marcus Ebbett features at the 2020 Adam Portraiture Award exhibition.

Outstanding Kāpiti artist Marcus Ebbett has been Highly Commended for his self-portrait at the prestigious Adam Portraiture Awards.
From his Rosetta Rd studio in Raumati, Marcus has been in huge demand both nationally and overseas.
The Adam Portraiture Award is a biennial competition for painted portraits at The New Zealand Portrait Gallery, generously sponsored by the Adam Foundation.
First prize of $20,000 went to Sacha Lees for ‘Sometimes an outline coloured in.’
Runner up prize of $2,500 went to Vivienne Still, for Engage.
This year there were two judges – Karen Quinlan, Director of the National Portrait Gallery of Australia and Dr Linda Tyler, Associate Professor Art History, Museums and Cultural Heritage, University of Auckland.
Kāpiti artist Hariett Bright was the winner in 2010.
2020 Adam Portraiture Award exhibition runs from 27 February to 22 May 2020. Visitors to the exhibition are encouraged to cast a vote for the People’s Choice Award, the winner of which will receive $2,500.
