The Kāpiti Council has installed wheel stops on car parks outside the Paraparaumu Bridge Club on Brett Ambler Way.
The wheel stops, a rubber strip that stops vehicles from encroaching on the footpath, were put in place today following a request by the Paraparaumu-Raumati Community Board to improve pedestrian safety in the area.
The Bridge Club is attached to the Kāpiti Community Centre.
