Kāpiti Trainer takes on Mens Health Week

Reality TV Personality and Kāpiti Functional HIIT owner, Elise Niu is giving away free group training sessions in Kāpiti as part of Men’s Health Week 2017.

Back from the popular reality TV show, School of Training (Maori Television) which sees participants compete in extreme fitness challenges to take out the top spot of New Zealand’s best undiscovered trainer, Elise is now on a mission to get Kāpiti men and women involved in group fitness.

Founder of Functional HIIT, group fitness sessions based on the Kāpiti Coast, Elise Niu, says taking small steps like incorporating more exercise into your lifestyle can make big changes. To help men take that initial first step Elise had announced free sessions for all men at Functional HIIT, until the end of June.

“Recent research has found that exercises like HIIT (high intensity interval training) changes DNA, improves physical fitness and mental wellbeing. We are on a mission to make Kāpiti the happiest, most active place in New Zealand.” says Elise Niu.

Men’s Health Week is being celebrated in New Zealand from the 12th – 18th June and stems from the International Men’s Health Week founded in 2002.
