What a brilliant photo! Most of you will immediately recognise this iconic set piece from the Beatles’ Abbey Road album cover (for the rest of you, make sure you google it!)
Artists George Thompson, left, Hans Itjeshorst, Lee Russell and John Cornish (clutching Sue Lund’s splendid legs!) were among 20-odd artists and helpers who helped Maude to move all the Artel Gallery artworks and furniture from Connolly Court to Mahara Place over the last week. (Maude is in the background, taking a well-earned coffee break!).
Maude says the new premises in Mahara Place will cement the area as a centre for the arts in Kāpiti, with the hub of Mahara Gallery, Susie Mills Gallery, Kāpiti Law Gallery and Picture Perfect Gallery all nearby.
