Good things do happen when things go wrong

Dear Editor,

Good things do happen when things go wrong, our faith in the locally owned businesses has been restored; on Tuesday evening at 5 pm when we were cooking tea we lost our power. Due to a contractor’s vehicle taking out power lines across the Road outside our home. We called Electra Faults Service hot line and in a flash they were here to reinstate the Power, unfortunately it took another 3 Hours to get the power back on to our house because an electrician had to check that there had not been any damage to the power line into our house.

It’s not very often that we have the opportunity to praise local Service providers for the services they provide, the Electra Faults service guys went beyond the call of duty to have it repaired, the contractors (Paul Ireland Digger Hire) responsible for the mishap, checked on us to see if they could provide us with a meal, and apologised for the inconvenience that had been caused.

We can only hope that other service providers in The Horowhenua District take a leaf out of the book from these businesses.
