Paraparaumu and Raumati have been my home for over 45 years and although our community has seen huge developments during this time, the friendliness of the people and our unique character has remained.
Over the years I have been involved with many local Community Groups
advocating successfully for improved access to services for Youth, People with Disabilities, Education, Road Safety and Health. I am currently a committee member of Grey Power and Age Concern.
I will advocate vigorously to council around Coastal Hazard Assessment issues, Waikanae recharge vs Dam, Rates increases, fairness and equity on pricing regime for water.
As a Candidate for the Paraparaumu/Raumati Community Board I will
represent the interests of the Paraparaumu/Raumati communities and
report back to you as we must ensure that local needs are met, according to the people. Do unto others as we would like done unto us, this is what democracy is about.
