Julie Perkins has announced a charity walk as a fundraiser for St Peters Village Hall in Paekākāariki. It will be on the Perkins Farm along the Paekākāariki end of the Transmission Gully route.
“This may be the last chance people have to check out the beautiful farmland vistas which are going to be a State Highway as early as 2014/15,”says Ms Perkins.
“This is not a political statement but rather a fantastic opportunity for the Perkins Family to once again give back to their community that they are having to leave next year.”
The walk is 7km return trip and it is proposed to be a real family event with family groups welcome and a picnic at the top. The walk is by a booking only basis by emailing: [email protected] to be held on 29 December 2012 so it is the perfect opportunity to bring family and friends along too.
The cost is $10 per adult, $5 per child (must be with adult), $25 for family of 2 adults and 2 children.
