On Saturday the 8th of December, artworks donated by local artists will be auctioned off to raise awareness and funds for Wellington Rape Crisis.
The auction will be the culmination of a week-long exhibition at Matchbox Studios, including works by Devon Smith, Kelly Spencer, Fleur Woods, Maria Kovacs, Geon Sade, Gemma Louise, Cesar Koene, Sarah Hudson, Julianna Venning, Rebeka Whale, Jamie MacDonald, Maz Hermon, Anthony Cabraal, Amber Varde, AEK, Meta Assink and Tanya Stewart.
Each artist has generously donated an artwork to be auctioned, with all profits going to Wellington Rape Crisis.
The auction will be MC’d by talented local comediennes Jennifer O’Sullivan and Christine Brooks.
Wine and nibbles will be provided thanks to Yealands Estate and Commonsense Organics Kilbirnie.
When: Saturday the 8th of December, 2012, 7.30-9.30pm.
Where: Matchbox Studios, 166 Cuba St, Wellington.
Who will be attending? 10-20 local artists who have donated their work and 40-50 supporters of Wellington Rape Crisis and members of the local art community.
