Is Chris Turver suffering delusions of grandeur or have I blinked and missed the local election? I have recently seen billboards boldly proclaiming him as Mayor is there something odd about this scenario? I personally find his approach to electioneering offensive.
I had an inkling of his style when he appeared to assume the mantle of “mayor in waiting” at the last Anzac Day service in Paraparaumu when he seated himself with the dignitaries and invited speakers a little premature I thought, not to mention presumptuous!
