Ace reporter David Haxton of the Kāpiti News has just competed in the London Marathon. Mr Haxton described the marathon experience as awesome.
Getting to London was touch and go as Mr Haxton, like thousands of others, had to wait until flights were cleared to take off after the volcanic eruption in Iceland.
Having completed the ultimate running test Mr Haxton is expected back in Kāpiti to resume duties at the news desk next week.
