The Grand Final was played between Kāpiti College and Paraparaumu College at Levin Domain on Saturday afternoon. Five minutes into the first half and K.C scored their first try. The following half hour was a tightly contested battle, with K.C giving away repeated penalties but showing strong defence inside their own 22, not giving P.C a chance to convert their possession into points. P.C missed a vital penalty Ten minutes before halftime. Strong running from K.C’s half-back W. Atkins set K.C up for a try just before half-time.
