The three successful candidates in the recent election for Electra Trustees are all returning to positions previously held.

Sharon Crosbie, Russell Longuet, and Brendan Duffy were comfortably re-elected in a poll that was largely voted online.

Ms Crosbie is the current Chair of the Electra Trust and says Electra continues to be one of the country’s best performing lines companies.
“Thanks to the community’s decision 33 years ago to keep the company in local ownership, Electra’s advantage is in having shareholders who are also the beneficiaries of its financial success,” says Ms Crosbie.
Former Mayor of Horowhenua Brendan Duffy says in the last term the Trustees appointed three new directors to the company.
“Appointing competent directors is a crucial task for the Trust. Our role as trustees is to hold the company to task and advocate strongly for solid dividend returns to the community in the form of the annual discount,” says Mr Duffy.
Russell Longuet also brings back a wealth of experience having a background in electrical engineering, merchant banking, and energy risk consulting and governance. He had previously been a director of Electra for 10 years up to 2018.
