Pub Charities Wellington has generously contributed $5,000 towards Kāpiti Community Patrol’s operating costs for 2026.

These funds came from three Kāpiti Coast pubs – The Jolly Pub & Kitchen, The Pinetree Arms and The Boundary Tap & Kitchen.

“Kāpiti Community Patrol actively supports a safer community on the Kāpiti Coast and totally relies on community support to do this,” Patrol Leader Alison Shailer says.

“We are reliant on fundraising for our income and a team of dedicated local volunteers to run our regular patrols. Our biggest cost is maintaining and operating our patrol vehicle. We also need to update and replace personal protective equipment our patrollers wear when they’re on duty, as well as safety equipment carried in our vehicle,” says Ms Shailer.

“This generous contribution from Pub Charities gives our patrol a great boost and confidence to continue actively supporting our Kāpiti area for another year,” Alison Shailer says.

If you live on the Kāpiti Coast and would like to join our team of patrol volunteers, please email us at [email protected] and we’ll call you to tell you more.
