Just three months after re-opening the recent heavy rain has caused an under slip on Ōtaki Gorge Road just past Blue Bluff.
The Department of Conservation camping ground has been evacuated for precautionary measures. We will assess the road tomorrow morning. Please avoid the area.
Ōtaki Gorge Road at Blue Bluff had been closed for five years following two slips until completion of works in July this year.
