Kāpiti-Mana Area Commander, Inspector Renée Perkins says Police investigating the death of a woman at an address in Paraparaumu can now confirm that her death has been referred to the Coroner, and is no longer being treated as suspicious.
Police were called to the Chums Road address at around 9.50pm on Tuesday 9 September, where sadly a woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Inspector Perkins says charges against a man of assault and breach of protection order have this afternoon been dismissed at Porirua District Court.
‘Police extend our ongoing sympathies to the woman’s whānau who are grieving at this time,” says Inspector Perkins.
