Candidate Statement – Kelsey Lee

Candidate – Paekākāriki Community Board

Kelsey Lee, candidate Paekākāriki Community Board

“I am from Hawke’s Bay but moved to Paekākāriki with my partner and life long resident Jack. We are grateful to be raising our tamariki in this strong and diverse community.

“I have been on the board for the past three years, taking on the role of Chair half way through the term. I hope to be re-elected and offer continuity.

“I have a background in campaigning and am passionate about advocating for connected communities where everyone has access to the resources they need to be well.

“My priorities include ensuring the community board does everything it can to support Ngāti Haumia ki Paekākāriki in their aspirations as the mana whenua of this land.

“I will continue supporting local community groups and clubs, and those working on environmental restoration, climate action, housing opportunities, and local social and cultural events.

“I am so proud to be a part of our community.”

All candidates are offered the opportunity to submit a profile and photo for the position they are standing for.
