“Self employed local business owner 33 years.
“Recent achievements include having a discussion paper accepted at Hui Taumata asking thought leaders how to facilitate Kotahitanga.
“Facilitation with kaumātua and Ātiawa ki Whakapongotai to investigate wetland preservation and management.
“As Māori Ward councillor I will facilitate support for Mana Whenua objectives and mātāwaka Māori plus ensuring good governance processes for Kāpiti communities.
“My election policies include reviewing current alcohol regulations.
“Supporting KCDC to become a unitary authority council and capping rates at a lower base than the proposed 7% increases.
“Allocation of a number of council halls for free use to be supported by business sponsorship and economic development kotahitanga initiatives. Developing a tamariki + rangatahi hapori project creating home grown kai fostering tomorrow’s leaders though community + Iwi partnerships. Nga mihi nui.”
