Work Ready Kāpiti is among the Finalists for this year’s The Post Wellington Gold Awards ‒ representing some of the very best businesses from across the Wellington region and Horowhenua.

The awards feature 10 established categories, alongside the introduction of the Mills Albert Impact Gold category, which applauds organisations that are enabling people into the workforce, recognising the crucial role businesses play in creating opportunities and supporting employment across our communities.

The director of the awards, John Dow, says the nominations brought together an inspiring group of organisations which had demonstrated outstanding stamina, strength, and innovation in what continued to be a challenging business environment.

The theme of the awards, now in its 27th year, was Racing Golds.

Mr Dow says running a business is like running a race – it takes endurance, determination, and the ability to navigate both the highs and the lows.

Work Ready Kāpiti say they are proud to be recognised for the work they do supporting young people to build confidence, gain experience, and connect with local employers.

They say a big thank you to our community, local schools, employers, and most importantly the young people we work alongside.

Work Ready Kāpiti board member Julia Palmer represented Work Ready Kāpiti at the recent Gold Awards Finalist Function along with Sheryl McFadgen (Co-Director at Star People HR & Recruitment) and Karyn Andreassend (Economic Development at Kāpiti Coast District Council).

Work Ready Kāpiti say they are very grateful to Mills-Albert Limited for sponsoring the Impact Gold category.
