Tina Pope, candidate Paekākāriki Community Board

“Kia ora koutou, ko Tine Pope tōku ingoa.

“I have lived in Paekākāriki twice, most recently for the past 15 years with my family, husband Mike and two now-grown children, Olive and Louis.

“I am an active member of the Paekākāriki community, currently co-chair of the Housing Trust and previously Deputy Chair of the Community Board, Chair of the School Board of Trustees, founding member of the Orchard and Gardens Group, and member of the Wainuiwhenua Working Group.

“I have a law degree and have worked in the justice and social housing sectors in Aotearoa and the Pacific for four decades.

“I’m passionate about Paekākāriki and am standing again because I see the importance of a strong community board to represent our community interests at Council, and to ensure a strong, connected and diverse community. I am a committed ally of Ngāti Haumia ki Paekākāriki and the LGBTQI+ community.

All candidates are offered the opportunity to submit a profile and photo for the position they are standing for.
