Sue Harris, candidate Raumati Community Board

“I’ve lived in Raumati South for 16 Years. I am community focused.

“I’ve served eight years as a Trust Member and Treasurer for the Kāpiti US Marines Trust. We are developing trails in Queen Elizabeth Park and promoting local tourism.

“I hold treasurer roles with Raumati South Repair Cafe and Predator Free Raumati.

“My community engagement includes serving on the Raumati South Residents Association committee and regularly attending local Community Board and KCDC meetings as an interested community member.

“My experience includes two terms on the Methven Community Board, small subdivision development, building and operating motel accommodation, contributing to the tourism industry, co-founding a co-operative craft shop, and assisting with upgrading a memorial hall into a comprehensive centre.

“My key concerns for Raumati include the upgrade of the old swimming pool, coastal adaption, and flood zones and RS Memorial Hall’s use. I aim to listen and represent residents’ concerns effectively.”
