Candidate Statement – Ann-Maree Ellison

Candidate – Raumati Community Board

Ann-Maree Ellison, candidate Raumati Community Board

“I care deeply about the people and place we call home.  I will ensure the voices of all residents are heard, and needs addressed, so that Raumati continues to thrive as a strong, connected, vibrant community.

“My whānau has lived in Kāpiti for generations, I’m proud to have raised my own tamariki here.  I whakapapa to our three local iwi; and I’ve had the privilege of holding various roles representing iwi and our wider community.

“My work spans governance, wellbeing, and cultural engagement. I represent iwi, facilitate yoga retreats, guide visitors across Aotearoa and assist with the Raumati BikeBus.

“I will be a committed advocate for Raumati, working to improve the quality of life for all, and engaging on all issues affecting our community.

“It would be an honour to represent you; to be a voice grounded in whakapapa and community, with a deep love for Raumati, serving us all.”

All candidates are offered the opportunity to submit a profile and photo for the position they are standing for.
